In Romania, Bran Castle, commonly referred to as "Dracula's Castle," is often linked to the legend of Count Dracula, drawing fans of the gothic horror tale from all around the world, despite the historical Dracula, Vlad the Impaler, having only tenuous connections to the castle.

 

Day 1

Arrive at Bucharest airport where a local guide awaits. From there, we'll whisk you to your hotel in Bucharest for check-in. Enjoy free time to relax or explore. As evening descends, step back in time with a walking tour of Bucharest's Old Town, venturing through the former Court of Count Dracula. Conclude the night with a welcome dinner at the medieval restaurant, "Hanul lui Manuc". Embrace the rich history and tantalizing flavors of Romania on this immersive day.

 

Day 2

Enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet at your hotel before setting out on a 2h30m scenic drive to Sinaia, a gem in the Carpathian Mountains. Delight in the grandeur of Peles Castle, the former Royal Residence. Hungering for more than history? Relish a 3-course lunch at Cantacuzino Castle, where Netflix's “Wednesday” was filmed. Post-lunch, explore Cantacuzino's majestic interiors. The journey continues to Transylvania. Check into your hotel for a 2-night stay. End the day with a sumptuous 3-course dinner in a rustic Poiana Brasov eatery.

 

Day 3

Begin with a hearty breakfast buffet at the hotel. Then, journey to Sighisoara, the storied birthplace of Count Dracula. Wander the UNESCO-recognized medieval town on a guided walk, taking in landmarks like the Church on the Hill, Dracula's birth house, and the iconic Clock Tower. Satisfy your appetite with a 3-course meal at a local restaurant located within Dracula's birth house. Later, savor the flavors of Romania with a 5-brandy tasting session at a historic Old Town cellar, presented by its owner. Conclude the day back in Brasov with a delightful 3-course dinner at a Slow Food restaurant.

 

Day 4

Brasov's Mystique & A Night with Dracula

 

Start your day with a fulfilling breakfast buffet at the hotel. Join Johanna, your guide dressed as a 19th-century Saxon lady, for a walking tour through Brasov's historic Old Town. Marvel at the Black Church, the largest Gothic structure in Eastern Europe, and be serenaded by the majestic sounds during a private organ concert within. Enjoy leisure time to explore the Old Town further. As dusk settles, journey to Dracula Castle. Experience the castle after-hours on a private tour, followed by Dracula's wine tasting. The highlight? Meeting Dracula himself. Conclude with a lavish 4-course dinner inside the castle's grand halls.

Bucharest - From Dracula's Tomb to Majestic Palaces

 

Kick off Day 5 with a delectable breakfast buffet at the hotel. Embark on a journey to Romania's vibrant capital, Bucharest, pausing en route in Snagov to delve into the mystery of Dracula's tomb. Refuel with a sumptuous 3-course lunch at a local eatery. In the afternoon, uncover Bucharest's gems on a sightseeing tour.
