Portugal introduced tempura to Japan, adopting it from Portuguese missionaries in the 16th century, and it's now a popular Japanese dish worldwide.

 

Day 1
On arrival at Oporto airport, the group would travel directly to the Douro valley and check-in to the 5*Vintage House. Before dinner at nearby Quinta da Grincha, the group would tour the facilities and taste wines with a member of the Churchill family.
 

Day 2
The day would be spent discovering iconic estates in the Cima Corgo district, where the highest quality wines of the region are produced. At Quinta de Napoles, you would learn about the history of the Niepoort family which purchased the property in 1987, although the history of the estate dates back to 1756. A tour of the ultra-modern winery would be followed by a tasting overlooking the vineyards, the group would have lunch.

The Quinta do Panascal estate dates back to the 18th century and is the most important of the port company – Fonseca. Following a visit and tasting,Back at the hotel, there would be some free time to go for a swim or stroll by the river bank, before an early evening departure to Quinta do Noval for a tasting and dinner. The estate has been part of AXA Millesimes since 1993 and is recognized for its vintage port wines.

 

Day 3

Following a mid-morning check-out of the hotel, there could be a final stop at Quinta do Bomfim, part of the Symington family estates, for a walk through one of the Douro’s finest vineyards. After a tasting of individual quinta ports, tapas could be served on the terrace overlooking the river. From here, the group would walk the short journey to Pinhao station and board the train to Oporto, enjoying spectacular views of the Douro river and surrounding vineyards en route (luggage would be sent on ahead by coach). A historical guide would accompany the group and share anecdotes during the journey.

 

On arrival at the 19th-century station of Sao Bento in Oporto, the group would walk the short distance to their 5* hotel, Infante Sagres. The afternoon would be free to discover the city, before meeting in the hotel’s private restaurant for dinner.

 

Day 4

The first full day in Oporto would begin with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, following which the group would travel by coach to Vila Nova da Gaia and Graham’s Port Lodge. After a tasting of their famous Tawny ports, lunch would be onsite at Vinum, overlooking Oporto city.

 

Early afternoon, the group would walk nearby to the recently-opened WOW (World of Wine) museum, for a private tour of Planet Cork; an exhibition which brings to life this natural product which is the chosen closure for most wines and produced from trees grown in Portugal.

 

There would be time to change back at the hotel before returning to Vila Nova da Gaia early evening, for an early evening tour of the cellars of Taylor’s Port Lodge, including a visit of the wine ages and a tasting of several of vintage ports followeed by dinner at Barão Fladgate restaurant.

 

Day 5

After breakfast, the group would meet for a guided walking tour of the city along the cobbled streets and alleys of Oporto, which would finish with a private tour on the old tram network, along the coastal road.

During the afternoon, guests would be free to continue their discovery of the city

Dinner could be at the 1828 steakhouse, housed in WOW.
 

Day 6
Porto to LisbonBegin your journey from Porto to Lisbon, enjoying the scenic travel between these two vibrant cities.Consider stopping at notable landmarks or towns along the way such as Óbidos This medieval town is very well preserved and guests can have some free time to discover the grounds and taste the local cherry liquor. Follow to a very special wine estate Quinta do Sanguinhal to visit, taste, and have some Portuguese petiscos.
 

Day 7
Lisbon
Immerse yourself in the charm of Lisbon with a guided tour. Visit iconic sites such as Belem Tower (outside ), Jerónimos Monastery, and the monument of discoveries by tuk-tuk. Learn about the rich history and culture of the city.Lunch at the restaurant Maat Kitchen. Return to the hotel by minibusIn the evening, indulge in a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, savoring Portuguese cuisine at Via Graça restaurant.
 

Day 8
Sintra Tour
Take a day trip to Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its enchanting palaces and lush landscapes. Explore Quinta da Regaleira and enjoy the magical atmosphere of this picturesque town.Enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants located on the coast of Estoril and CascaisPorto de Santa Maria restaurantIn the evening we suggest dinner at restaurant O Otro in Lisbon , walking distance from the hotel

Lisbon
Enjoy a free day to revisit your favorite spots or explore new areas in Lisbon. Consider exploring the trendy neighborhoods of Bairro Alto and Chiado, relaxing in one of the city's parks, or discovering local markets. Dinner suggested on this day at restaurant Vela Latina
 

Day 10
Departure from Lisbon
On your departure day, make your way to Lisbon Airport for your journey home, reflecting on the wonderful experiences and memories created during your time in Portugal.
